The focus of the Parent Counseling session is to enhance the parent’s communication with the child, to increase the child’s independence and autonomy and finally to allow the parents to learn the consequences of their actions.<\/p>\n

    Parenting a young person with a diagnosis of autism and ADHD can be more challenging.
    The aim is to reduce the feeling of frustration and increase the child’s sense of competence. We achieve this by focusing on 5 points: self-control, compassion, cooperation, consistency and joy.<\/p>\n

    Autism (ASD)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects reciprocal social communication, influences behaviour, and makes it difficult to recognise and manage emotions. A child or adult with autism finds social interactions and life complex, and finds it difficult to manage situations. No two people with autism are the same as anyone else, that’s why it’s called Autism Spectrum. After specialized treatment I can help the person with the diagnosis of autism. And to support his family environment by educating them in strategies that enhance their understanding of autism.<\/p>\n

    ADHD (ADHD)<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Similarly, ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder. A child or adult with ADHD exhibits some behaviours that are often beyond his or her control. For example, he shows a hyperactivity, forgets easily, talks too much and makes mistakes, and shows impatience and irritation. Other times he\/she is distracted, has difficulty concentrating and is impulsive. He may also have a difficulty in organizing his time, gets bored easily, and is easily stressed. ADHD is often treated with psychiatric treatment and medication. However, studies have shown that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and behavioural strategies have been shown to be beneficial for the successful management of ADHD.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
